A definite win for Kenya today as BBC revealed the 100 most influential women list.
This year, the women on the list will be part of the 100 Women Challenge, tackling some of the biggest problems facing women around the world.
Kenya has a total of 3 women on the list:
Adelle Onyango โ 28 years old
Adelle is a radio and television host seeking to empower young women through mentorship and apprenticeship programmes.

Anita Nderu โ 27 years old
A TV presenter and radio news anchor at Capital FM based in Nairobi and is passionate about mentoring youth.

Naomi Mwaura โ 31 years old
Founder, Flone Initiative and Communications Associate at ITDP Africa. She was the woman behind the #mydressmychoice campaign.

Coming together in four teams, the women in the list will share their experiences and create innovative ways to tackle:
- The glass ceiling โ #Teamlead
- Female illiteracy โ #Teamread
- Street harassment โ #Teamgo
- Sexism in sport โ #Teamplay
Other African women who made the list are Nigeriaโs Tiwa Savage and Liberiaโs first female president Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf. We are glad the world is taking note of our greatness.
