The High Court on Wednesday 15 November dismissed Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua’s petition against Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru. Judge Lucy Gitari said that the case was hopeless, defective and incurable.
Martha Karua, through lawyer Gitobu Imanyara filed a petition on 5 November at the Kerugoya High Court arguing Governor Waiguru’s win was not free and fair. Governor Waiguru was declared winner after garnering 159,606 votes against Karua’s 120,341.
The Narc Kenya leader also said evidence in her possession showed that 58,000 votes were illegally entered into IEBC’s KEIMS to aid Governor Waiguru’s win.
Here’s what some Kenyans had to say after the case was dismissed;
Martha karua its time you call a self meeting to go through your political agendas..it was a real coup by minjiminji
Kerugoya court nullifies the Martha Karua petition. I see this Supreme court petition suffering the same fate— Hon Vitendawili (@Mr_Mzalendo) November 15, 2017
2007 Martha karua engineered rigging of presidential vote.
Who thought, at that time, that all powerful Iron lady will run up down in local courts to save her ‘rigged’ vote

Martha Karua will not be given any position in government as promised during campaigns… Now, she is neither a reform champion nor a tribal ace but a very hopeless, defective and incurable politician.
Thank you to the HIGH COURT for dismissing Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua’s petition against me. The case was baseless, hopeless and incurable.
We’d celebrate tonight but Bae is consumed with situation in #Zimbabwe— A Waiguru (@AnneWaiguru_) November 15, 2017
The seeds of impunity that Martha Karua was planting a decade ago have blossomed to fruition, now its time to have a taste.— Oloo (@Oloofrank) November 15, 2017
How can Martha Karua, a lawyer, lose a petition on a technicality? Declaration date, results missing. What are these?— Che GEOvara (@audigeo) November 15, 2017
Martha Karua you fought a good fight and your name stands tall for fighting state imposed leaders like Anne Waiguru— Bryo Brio (@brio_bryo) November 15, 2017
