For the state to declare human remains manure is to express a complete disrespect of man as made in the image of God: Seattle, in the liberal state of Washington is a place where many immigrants are migrating. This is because of what is being called, sanctuary city: What this basically means is that the local government there has chosen not to observe federal law on immigration. Also the state of Washington issues drivers license to illegal immigrants. For many, especially Kenyans, the move is brought about by the fact that maybe one’s entry visa has expired.
The basic principle is humanitarian given that Kenyans are not known to commit other crimes in the United States, and statistically, Kenyans are hard working folk who are contributing much towards the welfare of many America. The fear of these Kenyans is that if you are arrested for minor moving violations, the issue of ones’ immigrant status might come up and the police hand one over to ICE. This has happened to many immigrants and therefore it is safer to migrate to a city or state that might understand the circumstances.
These sanctuary cities are mostly governed by democrats whose policies are more in tune with the plight of immigrants than republican leaders who insist on the letter of the law, not the spirit of the law. However, together with not interpreting laws literally to the letter, they also advance other agendas, including abortion, gay rights, transgender, and homeless rights. It is for this reason Starbucks, stationed in Seattle fought the city for suggesting taxing the company and others to take care of the mushrooming homeless problem in Seattle. The city backed off after many companies warned that they would move their headquarters to other states.
It is with this in mind that one must look with concern at the new law. It is a historical fact that when an individual leaves a crack on the door away from biblical values, Satan comes over and pushes the door. He then enters in with all his power and angelic authority. In the old Greek empire, the people had moved away from believe in traditional definitions of things including male and female categories. They rejected the concept of the Divine principle or the universal moral codes that govern man. The emperors went to the point where some married several men and one even took a horse for a wife: he officially married a horse!
Seattle’s liberal democrats have taken the first step towards de-humanizing humanity. In May Gov. Jay Inslee signed SB 5001 “Concerning Human remains.” Washington is the first state to authorize human Composting. What this means is that the state has finally completely declared that the human body is not sacred. That the body is but matter that can be fed to the dogs or used for agriculture as fertilizer.
The Bible has always argued that humanity is sacred. Genesis distinguishes between the creation of man and all other creation. For all other creation, God created them ex nihilo (out of nothing). But when it comes to man, “Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in
the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.'” Genesis 1:26ref
The specific reference says that God himself used his hands to form man. And that he breathed his own breath unto man. He did not do this to other creation. It is for this reason man is eternal: man will live forever either with Christ or with Satan. St. Paul argues that humanity is different from other matter. “Not all flesh is the same: People have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another. 1 Corinthians 15; 26
It is for this reason we honor the dead. It is for this reason priests are called at the deathbed of humanity to offer prayers. It is for this reason we go through long processes to bury the dead. Humanity is not like other matter! Humanity is sacred. For the state to declare human remains manure is to express a complete disrespect of man as made in the image of God.
If you live in Washington State, pray that you do not die alone without someone to stand for you. If you do, you will be made into compost and used to fertilize the city’s gardens.
