MIGUNA Miguna calls Luos “VOTING ROBOTS”
Thursday August 23, 2012 – There was fury and anxiety at a hotel in Kisumu City on Thursday, after former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Coalition Affairs advisor Miguna Miguna provoked youths by calling them “voting robots”.
Rowdy youths surrounded the hotel and expressed anger for Miguna’s assertions that Luos are always used by Prime Minister Raila Odinga as voting robots.
Police who were guarding the former Premier’s aide sneaked him out of the hotel after youths warned of burning the hotel.
For fear of being stoned, Kisumu residents gave a wide berth of the event, after rumour spread that youths from Kondele have been hired by area MP to cause commotion by throwing stones.
Kisumu city is a stronghold of Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
