Tuesday October 16, 2012 – Eldoret North MP William Ruto has revealed why he is courting his former boss Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

In an exclusive interview with Kass FM on Tuesday morning, Ruto said he is a brilliant politician who knows how to play political cards well in order to win the forthcoming general election.

Ruto said as a clever politician he is banking on the “misfortunes” which have rocked the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party so that he can capitalise on its weaknesses.

“Why bother with ODM? Its is like flogging a dead horse. A good politician preys on misfortunes of big animals to adapt orphans.” Ruto said

He insisted that he will continue building alliances with the like minded parties to emerge victorious in March 4th election.

He urged the Kalenjin community to rally behind his quest, saying he must form alliances with other parties to get the 51 percent required for one to be declared President.

He said he supported Prime Minister Raila Odinga in 2007 and Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta in 2002 and now it is payback time for the two leaders to support his presidential bid.
