A Kingdom Divided: Is Kenya on an Apocalyptic Cliff?

Kenya stands on a cross road! The argument from many busy bodies is that there has never been a time in Kenya when things were politically charged than in the current situation. But if one takes a train down memory lane, we find that no nation becomes within Hegel’s idea of becoming without experiencing major storms and hurricanes. Kenya is not an exception. The United States lived under the threat of civil war for a long time. People could not agree whether slavery should be permanently instituted or disbanded as a crime against Humanity. Then they duked it out and people died. Brothers killed brothers and neighbors killed neighbors! And Now it is a super power in all forms!
The United Nations is built on a foundation of war!  To understand how divided the world is, one has to only look at the military build up of each nation. Bullets, tanks, nuclear weapons and mother of all bombs are not in nation’s arsenal for decorations and beautification of the environment, rather, they are established for the killing of men! Therefore, if you want to know the nature of world peace, just ask how much weaponry do the Nations of the world possess. In fact, in the current sitting of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the main conversation will be the threat that the world is facing because of North Korea.
Reading from history, it is no news that before the 2nd world war, Europe was in utter chaos. This was not caused by aliens from mars, but from human disagreements. Even those of us dedicated to the study of biblical history cannot ignore this fact: The history of the Jewish people is painted with blood, war and rumors of war. The very nature of human life is displayed by the killing of Abel by his brother Cain. When one measures human crisis and disagreement on the foundation of history, then a peace that surpasses understanding takes over the state of anxiety and depression. As it was in the beginning, it shall be in the End (Presbyterian Doxology)
Many Kenyans are experiencing anxiety and depression thinking about the rhetoric coming from politicians. This is because they changed the constitution and enacted that which is now eating them! However, though we all must condemn violence and calls of war, we must take heart that even the coming of Christ is presented in violent imagery. The Book of Revelation presents the precursor of the Kingdom of God in ways that reflect that which is true of human history, war and blood shed.
The white Horse (Rev. 6:12), the Red Horse (Rev: 6:3-4), the Black Horse (Rev: 5-6) and the most scarily horse, the Pale Horse! Behold the writing, “When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come and see!” I looked and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine, and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.” (Revelation 6:7-8)

Like other nations in history, Kenyans will disagree. The nation will never be a UNIT. And in fact no one should expect it to be thus. However, it can unite behind one Ideal, THE REPUBLIC. And if it does not, the storms which destroy homes and roofs will come and go, then, it will rebuild, and having learnt from history, hopefull,  it will have better and stronger homes than before! This is the nature of life from the time humanity made a pact with Satan in Genesis Chapter 3.  This will not end until St. Paul’s prophetic word is actuated.

Then the end will come, when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father after He has destroyed all dominion, authority, and power. For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For “God has put everything under His feet.” 1st Corinthians 15:1ff
