Do you remember Lazarus, brother to Mary and Martha? When he fell ill Mary sent for Jesus, but by the time He got there, Lazarus was already dead. His sisters’ cried to Jesus and said ‘Lord if you had been here my brother wouldn’t have died.’
Are there days you felt like Martha and Mary, if the Lord had just shown up just a little earlier, everything would have fallen in place? You called for him but he did not respond in time? You asked him to restore your joy, but up to now you’re still swimming in sorrow? You asked him to fix your finance, but daily you keep running into debts. You asked him to heal your relationship, but it keeps deteriorating. You asked him for a job or a promotion, but your request seems to be the last one on his to do list
Jesus showed up four days after Lazarus was dead, he wept, then asked for the tomb to be rolled and he commanded Lazarus to come out. Yes the Lord might look like he is running late, but bear in mind his ways are not your ways neither are they mine. He might be four days late, but for sure He will pass by at the right time and he shall restore all that you have lost.
Joel 2:25-26:The Lord says, “I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts. It was I who sent this great destroying army against you. Once again you will have all the food you want, and you will praise the Lord your God, who does these miracles for you. Never again will my people be disgraced”
