Think of that time that you were so offended by someone, to an extent that in the back of your mind you felt like the devil was giving you ideas on how to deal with that person.
The Lord’s Prayer teaches us to ask for forgiveness with regards to how we forgive. Ask yourself how many times you have offended God and how many times other people have offended you, and if you were to be forgiven as the Lord’s prayer dictates, would you be vindicated?
When you refuse to forgive then you admit to be controlled by anger and resentment which is not only a way to sin but bad for your physical and psychological health. You can only live free if you are free. To err is human but to forgive is divine.
Forgive and you will be forgiven.
Mark 11:25:And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
