There is nothing productive that you can do in this world without strength. The Joy of the Lord is the strength we need. If you do not have joy in your life, there is so much you cannot achieve. First, you do not have strength, second, in the absence of joy the devil holds your mind captive and all you keep seeing are negative things, you either think of how you are going to fail, or how things will never work.
The Lord has reassured us that his joy is our strength, so all we need is to seek for it. Look around, stop focusing on the mud that the rain brings and start seeing the green grass that beautifies the garden every time it rains. Stop focusing on what you don’t have and start appreciating what you are privileged to have. The mistakes you made in the past are far behind you and Jesus said it is finished so who are you to keep allowing them to steal your joy.
Don’t focus on your weaknesses but rather focus on developing your strengths. Celebrate what you have and others will learn to celebrate you. Make it your objective in life to always be joyful and spread it all around. Allow the joy of the Lord to dwell in your heart and you will be surprised at the amount of strength that will be bestowed upon you.
” Go, eat your bread with joy, and drink your wine with a merry heart, for God has already approved what you do.”
