Word of the Day: Never Forsaken

Word of the Day: Never Forsaken

Do you feel disappointed and in despair because someone you counted on let you down? Many times we give our all to help others but people can fail; even your best friends or those you love the most can fail. A couple was approached by a friend of theirs who had a sick child and needed to go to hospital so they quickly went and gave their friend some of their money they had been saving to clear their loans.

The friend was quick to promise that He would pay them back at the end of the month however this was not the case. Rather than finding ways to pay them back, he started avoiding their calls and disappeared from their lives. In the end they had to sell their car to finish up on the other loans they had which brought a great strain on their relationship with this friend of theirs.

We may have gone through different stories of being disappointed, hurt or constantly let down by those around us but how we respond to such situations will determine our relationship with God. In fact God clearly promises us that he will never fail us if we put our trust in him. Therefore, do not hold on to past disappointments, forgive and let go and experience the freedom of letting go.

“Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, Never will I leave you;never will I forsake you.”
Hebrews 13:5
