Word of the Day:Walk with the Wise

One of the most important things we can do to grow is by carefully choosing the people we closely relate with. A personโ€™s wisdom is measured by the people he or she has chosen to be his or her advisors. The Bible encourages us to walk with the wise because the companion of fools will bring harm unto us.

The word clearly says โ€˜he who walks with the wiseโ€™ implying that the initiative to learn rests on us not our teachers. As individuals we should go out of our way to look for wisdom rather than wait for it to come our way–he who cares to learn will always find a teacher.

Someone once said that the person you are now and the person you will be five years from now will be determined by the people you meet and the books you read. What are you doing to improve yourself? Challenge yourself to grow by reading more books including the Bible and relating with the wise so as to grow wise.

Proverbs 13:20ย “He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.โ€
