First Lady Margaret Kenyatta ย metย with supermodel Naomi Campbell who has been combining her holiday in the country with humanitarian efforts at an orphanage in Malindi. Campbell pledged to raise funds in support of the First Lady’s Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (MNCH) initiative, with the funds going toward the purchase of mobile clinics to facilitate access to quality health care in marginalized areas.
Campbell further promised to initiate a modelling event in November this year, to identify and promote local talent. Proceeds from the event will also go toward supporting the First Lady’s Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (MNCH) initiative.
