A Kenyan man was killed in a deadly road accident on Wednesday morning in Martin County, Texas.
25-year-old Goerge Mutua fondly known as George Liberty was killed when his FORD 150 was struck by a vehicle which blew out a tire causing it to lose control and veer off the road.
The accident happened on Highway 349, about 20 miles north of Midland just before 6 a.m.
Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers told a local news station that, a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado had a blowout causing the vehicle to veer into the northbound lanes of traffic hitting a Mutuaโs vehicle.
The collision caused Mutuaโs vehicle to go into a bar ditch and roll over.
Mutua, was partially ejected when the vehicle overturned.
Mutua was killed in the accident and the driver of the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, 24-year-old William Michael Enriquez from Abilene, was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with injuries.
Mutua graduated from Texas Tech University in May of 2014 where he graduated top of his class with Bachelors of Science in Petroleum Engineering.
