Quit “sinking ship” ODM and join Jubilee for being “mistreated”, Starehe TNA politician Francis Mwangi has told Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo.
โMillie is one of the smart opposition leaders who are very vocal in and out of Parliament and she is being mistreated because of exposing the rot in the opposition,” Mwangi said.
“She should join the ruling coalition which is ready to work with leaders across the divide.”
Mwangi was speaking in Naivasha town on Thursday.
He demand an explanation over the nomination certificate Millie was issued ahead of the 2013 general election.
“ODM leaders must explain to Kenyans how Millie was awarded a fake certificate because it casts doubt on the validity of the other nomination certificates,” he said.
Millie was accused of disloyalty and was threatened with disciplinary action for refusing to back Moses Kajwangโ in the Homa Bay senator race.
“Kenyans have a constitutional right to choose the political parties to belong to and to stand by their opinions. Millie is being denied this,” Mwangi said.
He asked ODM to respect its women leaders citing the exit of Nairobi county women’s rep Rachel Shebesh.
Shebesh quit ODM and joined TNA in September 2012 over misunderstandings within the leadership.
