Long time ago while travelling with my father deep into maasailand we met a lioness with her cubs on our path.
My father took the protective stance, he stood between me and the lioness weapons in hand and said to me; “Stand on my left it is my protective side don’t stand on my fighting side you’ll get hurt!!”
Three things I had to chose I had to chose to either let him be my defender or fight the lioness or even run away which would have been my death.
The third thing I would also have done is stand on his fighting side which is worse because then I might get hurt by my own father weapons and and by the lioness ..(Double trouble) Theres an erring adage; “God help he who helps himself” (By the way this statement “God help he who helps himself” isn’t anywhere in the bible)
I had to come to the realisation that; The battle isn’t yours. It’s God’s.
Also; And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still.., and see the salvation of Yahweh/the Lord, which he will work for you . Exodus Chapter 14 Verse 13
Folks let us learn to let God be God
After praying for his help let us trust him and his ability to defend us. In his horrendous trials, Job said of God;
Though he shall slay me, yet will I trust in him..Job 15;13:
Dear heavenly father please give us wisdom to let go of the burdens and problems that we bring to you
Holy spirit of the living God nudge us and show our error when we try to fight battles that belong to the Lord
Lord Jesus forgive us and like a good shepherd lead us to know the power of our heavenly father Amen
