They are time that God puts us in darkness to teach us to heed and trust him. Just like song birds are taught to sing in the darkness, God puts us under the shadow of his hands until we learn to hear his voice. In darkness be very silent, listen to God’s word and cling closely to him. This is the time God gives you a precise message, a message that you will give others once the darkness is over.
The lessons we learn while in darkness prepare us for the greater places andthe greener pastures that the Lord has prepared for us. The message we getis enough to last us and those around us a lifetime. When you listen to Godand follow his voice all his promises concerning your life, through ChristJesus will come to pass. As you wait on him to fulfill his promises in yourlife, meditate on the scriptures and seek the Holy Spirit guidance.
Remember, the darkness you face in your life is for a short while, but theworks, the glory and the promises he will bestow upon your life will beenough to last you a lifetime. So stay still and know that he is God!
Matthew 10:27:What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.
