President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived in London, United Kingdom, to attend the London Conference on Somalia.
The plane carrying President Kenyatta and his entourage touched down at Heathrow airport at 6.40 a.m local time.
On arrival, President Kenyatta was received by Senior Officials of the Government of the United Kingdom and the staff of the Kenya High Commission in London led by Ambassador Epharaim Ngare.
The Conference, which is co-chaired by the United Kingdom and Somalia, will be held at the Lancaster House tomorrow.
Among other issues, the Conference will deliberate on strengthening security, policing and justice system as well as public finance management in Somalia as part of the wider strategy of stabilizing Somalia and ensuring security in the Horn of Africa region.
The President is accompanied by First Lady of the Republic of Kenya Margaret Kenyatta and Attorney General Githu Muigai among other senior Government officials.
