Wife to ‘Prophet’ Kanyari and gospel singer Betty Bayo has spoken up for the first time on air regarding the scathing expose on her husbands fraudulent ways by KTN’s Jicho Pevu.
The 11th hour singer was speaking on Kameme FM’s breakfast show yesterday when she revealed that she could not gather the courage to watch the expose. She said she went to the station to clear her name despite calls by most people not to respond and remain silent.
“I neither go to Kanyari’s church nor live in the house that is shown in the clip being used as a studio,” Bayo said amid sobs.
On their marriage Betty said, ”I was not married to Kanyari for money. If he will repent and turns to God I will forgive him, but if he doesn’t, I will divorce him.”
Asked how she was dealing with all the insults and attention she was receiving, Betty sang one of her songs Busy Busy where she appeals to people to hold steadfast on God as those close to you will betray and stab you in the back at some point.
On the pastor’s whereabouts, Betty revealed that she had not seen or heard from him since the expose.
