A section of legislators from the North Rift region have turned the heat on Wiper Party leader and Cord Co Principal Kalonzo Musyoka over graft allegations, even as the controversy over the 600 acre Yatta land he owns deepens.

The Members of Parliament have challenged the National Land Commission (NLC) to take up the matter and investigate the ownership of the land.

The 600 acre piece of land has been the subject of controversy in recent days, with accusations from a section of jubilee legislators that Kalonzo irregularly acquired the land from the NYS.

The leaders were speaking yesterday, Friday, in Siyoi primary school during a school bus handover ceremony.

About three days ago, Jubilee MPs threatened to pursue government agencies to repossess the 600 acre parcel of land that Kalonzo allegedly grabbed from the National Youth Service.

The MPs issued the threats a day after acting lands Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i said the ministry is yet to receive any details on the land in Yatta.

A section of Cord leaders have however said that Kalonzo bought the land from an individual and a private company.
