Cord co-principal and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula is recovering from multiple injuries after being assaulted by his wife.
According to the Daily Nation, investigations are underway to establish a case filed by Mr Wetangula, who claims to have suffered physical harm during the ordeal at the coupleโs house in an upmarket estate in Nairobi.
โHon Moses Wetangโula, a resident of Mahungu Court along Karabon Road in Nairobi, came to the station and reported having been assaulted by his wife on February 18, 2016 at around 9:30pm at their home in Karen.
โHe said he had been accused by his wife Ann of infidelity. That is when, according to him, his wife became furious and attacked him. As a result, he said he sustained injuries on his head, left hand, left leg. He was treated at Karen hospital and issued with a P3 form,โ a report by Langata Police states in part.
ASSAULT CASE
However, in an interest twist to the saga, Wetangulaโs wife Ann, has separately filed an assault case to the Police against her husband.
Mrs Wetangโula was the first to report to the police on February 21 that her husband beat her on the night of February 18 at around 9 pm.
โAnn Wetangโula, a resident of Karen came to the station and reported that February 18, 2016 at around 9pm she was assaulted by her husband Hon. Moses Wetangula, Senator for Bungoma ย County. She complained of having sustained injuries on both hands, chest and legs,โ the report states.
Later on the same day, Mr Wetangโula went to Langโata police station and made a similar report.
