The Administration Police camp in Syokimau where lawyer Willie Kimani, his client and taxi driver were detained before being murdered was set ablaze by a mob on Wednesday.
The rioters included boda boda riders who were colleagues of Josephat Mwenda who was being represented by Kimani.
Kimani, Mwenda and taxi driver Joseph Muiruri were reportedly held at the station hours before they were tortured and then bludgeoned to death at a nearby filed.
Inspector General of police Joseph Boinnet condemned the arson attack and ordered the immediate arrest of the perpetrators.
