Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaisseryย was on Saturday booed and forced to cut his speech short by rowdy youthย in Kajiado County.
Nkaissery, who had graced the crowning of the area chief in Arroi location, sparked trouble after he told Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye to ditch ODM and join Jubilee if he wanted to retain his seat in the upcoming General Election.
The youthย popularly known as Narresho Fundamentalists,ย whoย are strong supporters of the Governor, booed the CS and threatened to disrupt the whole meeting forcing Nkaissery to abandon his speech and leave in a hurry.
The residents had earlier blocked tarmacked roads to the destination forcing the CS to use damaged roads.
The residents decried theย poor state of roads and accused Nkaissery of undermining the Governor in his own home turf, The Star reports.
Nkaissery was in the area to attend the crowning of the area chief andย campaign for PresidentUhuru Kenyatta before the situationย turned ugly.
During the function, a debate arose on who would succeed the late William ole Ntimama as spokesman of the Maasai people.
Nkaissery had been tipped to be the obvious successor but residents from the area are proposing Nkedianye claiming the region is affiliated toย the Orange Party.
