Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino was arrested following his remarks against the presidency. He was criticised on social media, the public held demonstrations against him, he was arrested, released and arrested again.
Among those who quickly stepped up to apologize over Babu’s remarks was Nairobi Women Rep Esther Passaris. In a post she shared on social media, the sassy women rep urged Babu to mind lines that he should not cross in as much as there were political differences he desires to address.

Celebrated media personality, Caroline Mutoko, has also echoed the sentiments by Passaris saying that the young MP went overboard with his mtoto wa mbwaremarks.
According to Mutoko, there is an unwritten political rule that keeps children, wives, mistress and above all mothers off limits during political propaganda.
The former radio queen went ahead to accuse NASA leaders of neglecting Babu by allowing him to make such remarks. She said that it his Babu’s party members who are likely to betray him and not leaders from Jubilee.
She advised Babu to fix things with President Uhuru as he is still young in politics and has a long way to go.
Mutoko, in the video she shared on her YouTube channel, urged the former student leader to take lessons from Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho. She said that Joho has for a long time been on Uhuru and the Presidency but he has never touched Uhuru’s children, wife or mother.
The former Kiss 100 presenter also hinted that she might be joining politics in 2022 as DP Ruto’s running mate.
