Lameck was charged under Section 506 of the Penal Code for committing criminal intimidation against her employerโs wife Hanim Salim A More, 33, and her family at the Swiss Garden Hotel on Aug 21, 2017 at about 9.30pm.
According to the facts of the case, her employer, Ahmed Abdullah A. Alnajmy, 46, lodged a report on Aug 21 at the Melaka Tengah police station as he was concerned for his familyโs safety.
His wife had said that the family were trying to calm the maid who was angry and threatening by saying: โI will kill you with Jesusโ and โI want to kill you and all family if you prayโ.
His wife was feeling scared and immediately informed her husband.
Deputy public prosecutor N. Sivashangari urged the court to impose a detterent sentence.
But the accused, who was unrepresented, urged the court to impose a lenient sentence as she is a divorcee with three children aged eight, 17 and 18. She also has to take care of her mother in her home country Kenya.
It is learnt that the maid has been working with her Saudi Arabian employer for three years and was with the family in Melaka for vacation.
