The district police have claimed to have recovered 300 gm of heroin from a car at Shimla Pahari Chowk by arresting two young women and the driver of the car.
The arrested women were found to be residents of Kenya’s Nairobi city.SSP J Elanchezhian said the accused, Margaret and Attic, would be produced in court.
He said both of them had come from New Delhi to supply heroin in Hoshiarpur and adjoining areas. The Hoshiarpur Police have also contacted the New Delhi Police in this regard. SSP said the police was also investigating that to which gang they were associated with and how they were spreading their network.
The Model Town police have started investigating the matter by lodging a case under the NDPS Act against the three accused including two Kenyans and driver Amritpal Singh resident of Rajowal.
