Kenyans Raise Kshs1M on Churchill Show After Teary StoryKenyans have again pulled resources to support a dancer who featured onย Churchill Showย afterย she gave a touching and teary story.

The young lady,ย Moesha Kay,ย who supports over 2000 girls caught the attention of Presidentย Uhuru Kenyattaโ€™s nieceย Nana Gecagaย who pledged Kshs 100,000.

Entrepreneurย Huddah Monroe, who was also in attendance, pledged to contribute Kshs 200,000 while news anchorย Betty Kyalloย promised Kshs 100,000.

Belasi Developers pledged Kshs 100,000 and Space Lounge committed Kshs 100,000.ย Samuel Osoroย from Unilever contributed Kshs 50,000 personally and put his boss to task to commit Kshs 110,000.

The food company, Indomie, pledged Kshs 100,000 and free meals for all the kids that Moesha supports for one month.

A Maasai herdsman promised to award her with a goat for Christmas while the rest of the audience contributed petty cash.

Total cash collected came to over Sh100, 000 as the pledges stood at Sh910, 000 leaving the girls in tears on stage.

The group of girls had just come from representing Kenya at the 2018 Hip-hop World Dance Championship in Phoenix, Arizona.

Her initiative, Divas Power, was birthed using inspiration from her past life, being born and raised in theย ghetto of Majengoย in Nairobi.

She was chased from her home at 13 years because of her passion to dance and almost got raped three times.
