Kenyan Man Alex Wanjiru Killed in a Truck Collision in Ohio
A Kenyan man Alex Wanjiru, 39, of Whitehall, Pennsylvania was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Wednesday in Allen County Ohio.
Alex died when the two commercial vehicles collided at approximately 4:25 p.m. on U.S. 30 near the intersection with Thayer Road.
According to limaohio news, the semi tractor-trailer, driven by Mark Meyer of Harrod, was eastbound on U.S. 30 and was attempting to make a left turn onto Thayer Road when his semi was struck by a box truck, driven by Alex Wanjiru.
Alex was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by Allen County Coroner’s Investigator. The other driver Meyer received minor injuries as a result of the crash and was treated and released at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
