President Uhuru Kenyatta’s mother, Mama Ngina Kenyatta, and Deputy President William Ruto were among the guests who witnessed Kiambu Governor’s Ferdinand Waititu’s daughter, Monica Njeri Ndungu, tie the knot with her lover.
Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu’s daughter Dr Monica Njeri Ndungu, on Saturday, exchanged vows with her longtime boyfriend Dr Herman Nyotu Gitau.
The lovebirds solemnized their union in a lavish ceremony which was held at PCEA Evergreen Church in Runda.
They then proceeded to Windsor Golf and Country Club for their reception.
The facility had earlier been shut down by National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) after it was found discharging untreated effluent into the environment.
Among those in attendance at the colorful ceremony were relatives, politicians and top businessmen from Kiambu County.
Njeri is a graduate of medicine from the University of Nairobi (UoN).
She is a senior doctor at the Gatundu Level 5 Hospital after being employed by the Kiambu government.
According to her social media accounts, she previously worked at the Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).

Both Ruto and Ms Ngina stepped into the lush gardens looking dapper. The DP was putting on a brown jacket and a matching fedora hat while Uhuru’s mother looked flawless in a pink dress.
Other guests who were spotted at the invite-only event include Uhuru’s brother Muhoho Kenyatta, Transport Principal Secretary, Esther Koimet, Murang’a Woman Representative, Sabina Chege, and Nyandarua Governor, Francis Kimemia.
