VIDEO: Population breakdown-10 Most Populated Counties in Kenya. Population distribution per county, in relation to the 2019 Population and Housing Census, has Nairobi, Kiambu, Nakuru, Kakamega & Bungoma counties as the most populous counties.
The least populous counties include Lamu, Isiolo, Samburu, Tana River & Taita Taveta as per the report released on Monday, November 4, by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) at State House Nairobi.
Nairobi has a total population of 4,394,073 while Kiambu has 2,417,705 residents followed by Nakuru (2,162,202), Kakamega (1,867,579), Bungoma has (1,670,570) and Mombasa County (1,208,333).
Lamu is the least populated county with 143,920 residents followed by Isiolo with 268,002, Samburu (310,327) and Tana River (315,943).
