Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
Hebrews 12:14
Folks,
As difficult as living in peace with all men may sound
It is one of the directions we are given in the Holy Word of God and I was wondering how this can be posible, then it occured to me that God is not expecting us to live on others terms or others to live on our terms but to live on Gods terms this is posible: Why?, because if we tried to see others as God sees them we sure would have a very different perspective, a God perspective of our neighbors.
Dear Lord Grant us wisdom to see the way you see, for then and only then would thy kingdom come through us and thy will would be done on earth as it is in heaven
Amen
Be blessed as you bless others

What is holiness? what is purity?

Dear Beloved in the Lord,
I just want to share with you this song, which reflect my prayers and cry to God always, for myself and each one of us. May this song be your prayer. Living in PURITY and HOLINESS, I believe is one of the powerful key to live Christlike life. For the past week, I have been thinking about some question which I hope that we can discuss it and help each other to understand the depth of holiness. I know Bishop Manasseh can help us out here. Any way this are some of questions I been thinking about:
C) Answers to your questions

What is holiness? what is purity?
Answer; Holiness produces purity note we are not talking about facial expressions or outer show butliving for, loving, serving, obeying, God from the heart this.
What is the defference between holiness and purity?
Answser; It is not the difference but the unity of the two words e.g. holiness is the seat where purity sits purity produces pure love pure, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in.
What are the practical applications of holiness and purity?
Answer; Look at the answers above
What does it mean for me to be pure and holy?
Answer Purity and holiness work in conjunction with one another one cannot work without the other, I cannot truly say I love God and hate my brother a pure heart will not allow me, my conscience will bother me because of Gods holiness working in conjunction with a pure heart
How can I live holy and pure?
Answer:…
Zechariah 4:6 (Read all of Zechariah 4)
Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts….meaning by being obedient to the Lord and living by his word daily and not by your own strength
Is holiness and purity a mental or spiritual status?
Answer:.. with all you have!
Deuteronomy 6:5 (Read all of Deuteronomy 6)

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might
How can I display my life to be holy and pure before God?

I belive we need Holy Spirit to help us achives this, but I do believe always we have part to play to be holy and pure? Well, those are question I hope will lead us to open discussion and desire in our heart to cry for more of his holiness in us.

Once again let this song be your pray and your prayers unto others.
Here is the song lyrics and mp3 files (if you can’t or don’t get the pm3 files email me and let me know).

With much love,

Frank.

Brother Frank/Dear folks
Thanks for bringing this subject to our atention
I have included all those im email list becausae I think the subject is very relevant to the present time we live in as christians
I have endeavoured to answer as closely to the Bible as I can so
Instead of me preaching let me give biblical quotations of what the bible says about:
A) holiness
2 Corinthians 7:1 (Read all of 2 Corinthians 7)
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
Romans 6:19 (Read all of Romans 6)
I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
1 Chronicles 16:29 (Read all of 1 Chronicles 16)
Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holines
Psalm 29:2 (Read all of Psalm 29)
Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
Psalm 93:5 (Read all of Psalm 93)
Thy testimonies are very sure: holinessbecometh thine house, O Lord, for ever.
(Read all of Luke 1)

74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, 75 In holinessand righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
B) Purity
I was studying the words purity and the word pure and was suprised to find that when it came to offering to God or things in the temple were made of “PURE whatever” so our hearts being the temple of the holy spirit there also should be purity
check this out
pure candlestick…Exodus 31:8, overlaid it with pure gold…. Exodus 37:2, And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices,…… Exodus 37:29
1 Timothy 4:12 (Read all of 1 Timothy 4)
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Blessings Bishop

Mass by John Cardinal Njue on 07/05/2008 Baltimore, MD

In the same spirit, the group started, in 2006, bimonthly Kiswahili masses. The mass provides an opportunity for Wasafiri Voices, other Kenyans and non- Kenyans alike, to integrate and foster their spirituality. Wasafiri Voices has become a household name in Baltimore and beyond. Wasafiri Voices have viewed challenges encountered as opportunities and continues to register several successes.
To celebrate these successes, Wasafiri Voices will be hosting His Eminence John Cardinal Njue of the Archdiocese of Nairobi from July 3rd to July 10th, 2008. This will be the Cardinalโ€™s first visit to the USA since his appointment as Kenyanโ€™s second cardinal last year by Pope Benedict the XVI. This presents a very unique opportunity for Wasafiri Voices, Kenyans and non-Kenyans to interact, fellowship and receive spiritual guidance from the Head of the Catholic Church in Kenya.
Wasafiri Voices, therefore, cordially invites you to a Swahili Mass to be celebrated by John Cardinal Njue on 07/05/2008 at 12.00 noon. The mass will be held at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 5401 Loch Raven Boulevard, Baltimore Maryland 21239.

Psalm 139
Attitudes are more important than facts
By David Arnold(Pastor, Gulf Coast Worship Center, New Port Richey, Florida)
A major U.S. magazine printed these words in an article entitled, โ€œRecession, Unemployment, Attitude And You:โ€ โ€œIt is a gloomy moment in the history of our country. Not in the lifetime of most men has there been so much grave and deep apprehension; never has the future seemed so incalculable as at this time. The domestic economic situation is in chaos. Our dollar is weak throughout the world. Prices are so high as to be utterly impossible. The political situation seethes and bubbles with uncertainty. It is a solemn moment of our troubles. No man can the end.โ€ Source? —-Harperโ€™s Weekly, October, 1857!
Helen Keller stated, โ€œNo pessimist ever discovered the secrets of the stars or sailed to an uncharted land or opened a new heaven to the human spirit.โ€ Attitude dictates our actions; actions dictate our habits; and habits dictate our future. Tamara Eberlin, in her article in Good Housekeeping called โ€œAre You An Optimist?โ€ reported, โ€œPositive thinking is a lot more than blind faith โ€“ and its power over peopleโ€™s lives is awesome. Optimists fare better than pessimists in almost every aspect of life, often achieving more, and enjoying greater social success. Optimistic people are also less susceptible to depression and physical ills.โ€ Proverbs 17:22 says, โ€œA cheerful disposition is good for your health; gloom and doom leave you bone-tired.โ€ (The Message).
From the Apostle Paulโ€™s words in the book of Philippians, we can learn some important lessons about attitude. At the time of his writing, he was in a Roman prison, idle instead of active, and trapped instead traveling. Yet, instead of complaining, he maintained a positive attitude. Note what he revealed:
1. DETERMINATION. He was determined to live above his circumstances by maintaining an optimistic attitude. He exhorted, โ€œRejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!โ€ (4:4). He had been beaten, forsaken, and was awaiting the executioner, yet he only spoke of his imprisonment four times. However, sixteen times he uses words such as โ€œjoy,โ€ โ€œrejoice,โ€ and โ€œgladnessโ€. Two times he uses โ€œpraiseโ€ and โ€œthanksgivingโ€. J. Gustav White said, โ€œOne man gets nothing but discord out of a piano; another gets harmony. No one finds fault with the piano. Life is about like that.โ€ Wilfred Yoder has suffered with the pain of arthritis for years, yet he maintains his enthusiasm. When people greet him and inquire, โ€œHow are you today?โ€ he cheerfully answers, โ€œJust fine!โ€ When he is questioned about his sincerity, โ€œHow can you say youโ€™re fine when youโ€™re in so much painโ€ Wilfredโ€™s standard response is: โ€œHow I feel has very little to do with how I am. You see, the part of me that hurts is just a shell, not the real me, and the real me is fine!โ€ Habakkuk 3:17 and 18, โ€œThough the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there are not herd in the stalls โ€“ yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.โ€
2. DIGNIFYING. He dignified his situation with a perspective of optimism. Paul was sitting in prison, yet that was not his true address, for he declared that God has โ€œraised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.โ€ From his circumstances it seemed he was a prisoner of the Roman Empire, but he said that he was โ€œthe prisoner of Jesus Christโ€ (see Ephesians 2:6 and 3:1). John Bunyan, author of Pilgrimโ€™s Progress, who suffered a similar experience as Paul, said:
โ€œFor though men keep my outward man
Within these locks and bars,
Yet by the faith of God I can
Mount higher than the stars.โ€
3. DECISION. Instead of complaining out of frustration, Paul decided to be content in his situation. He stated, โ€œNot that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content,โ€ 4:11. The word โ€œcontentโ€ has a fascinating definition. It means โ€œcontained.โ€ Paul had learned the โ€œcontainmentโ€ of God in every situation of his life, as he submitted to Godโ€™s control. He was in a remarkable paradox: Even though he was physically bound in a Roman cell, his captors were not containing him and controlling him, God was. He rested in the Lordโ€™s sovereignty and providence. Oswald Chambers loved the poetry of Robert Browning and often quoted a phrase from the poem โ€œRabbi Ben Ezraโ€: โ€œThe best is yet to be, the last of life for which the first was made. Our times are in His hand.โ€ As principal of the Bible Training College in London from 1911 to 1915, Chambers often said that the schoolโ€™s initials, B.T.C., also stood for โ€œBetter To Come.โ€ He believed that the future was always bright with possibility because of Christ. In a letter to former students written during the dark days of World War 1, he said, โ€œWhatever transpires, it is ever โ€˜the best is yet to beโ€™.โ€ As some anonymous person correctly reminds us, โ€œSometimes we are so busy adding up our troubles, that we forget to count our blessings.โ€
4. DEVELOPMENT. Paul developed and capitalized on his imprisonment, by using this time to write what is commonly called the โ€œPrison Epistles,โ€ Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon. Also, he started a new congregation, Philippians 4:21, 22. He stated, โ€œChrist will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death,โ€ 1:20. Winston Churchill exhorted, โ€œA pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.โ€ Thomas Edisonโ€™s manufacturing facilities in West Orange, New Jersey, were heavily damaged by fire one night in December 1914. He lost almost $ 1 โ€“ million worth of equipment and the record of much of his work. The next morning, walking through the charred remains of his hopes and dreams, the 67-year-old inventor said: โ€œThere is value in disaster. All our mistakes are burned up. Now we can start anew.โ€
โ€œHow stupid life is!โ€ said the mole,
โ€œThis earth is a dull dirty hole!
I eat, I dig, and I store;
But I find it all a bore!โ€
โ€œThe lark sang high in the blue;
โ€œHow sweet is the morning dew!โ€
How clear the brooks, how fair the flowers,
I rejoice in this world of ours.โ€
Remember, โ€œKeep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow.โ€ (Helen Keller).

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a
well. The animal cried piteously for hours as
the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway;

it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbors to come over and
help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began
to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the
donkey realized what was happening and cried
horribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement he
quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally
looked down the well. He was astonished at what
he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his
back, the donkey was doing something amazing.
He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel
dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it
off and take a step up.

Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey
stepped up over the edge of the well and
happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds
of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well
is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of
our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out
of the deepest wells just by not stopping,
never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

Free your heart from hatred – Forgive.

Free your mind from worries – Most never happen.

Live simply and appreciate what you have.

Give more.Expect less
