With the many issues and challengers affecting the Kenyan Diaspora youth which is getting out of hand lately, a Kenyan Christian counselor with experience in working with preteens, adolescents, young adults, premarital, couples and families has organized a young Adult discipleship seminal in Baltimore.
This will be a month long class commencing on 7/31/11 till 8/28/11. The key subject will be implications of biblical dating, courting and hanging out. These key words represent outlets through which Young Adults’ relationships thrive. Unfortunately, depending on the environment and the company kept, the same also generate negative behavior. This situation provides the rationale for Family Light Ministries to be involved in navigating the young people from negative to positive behavior by shinning light in the issues they present. Our curriculum is based on the booklet entitled True Love Waits take a look at Courting, Dating, & Hanging out by David Payne.

THEME: PURITY AND ABSTINENCE FROM DESTRUCTIVE BEHAVIOR (such as the use of drugs and alcohol, misguided dating, courting and hanging out behavior due to rebellion). Book Cost $ 6.00
SYNOPSIS: The word of God recommends that young men (and women) should hide the word of God in their hearts so they might not sin against God (Psalms 119:9-11). Scripture also urge the growing young people to obey and honor their parents in the Lord which is the right thing to do. When they do so everything in their lives will go well and they will live long lives (Ephesians 6:1-3). Additionally the Bible warns that should the young people rebel against the lord by neglecting the teachings and nurture from parents and caregivers, days of trouble will come upon them when they will regrettably lament that they find no pleasure in them (Ecc 12:1).
