Word Of The Day: God Is Always Present – Family Media

God is always with you wherever you go. That means He is present at all times, continually, perpetually, throughout all time. In the days of sorrow and trouble, He promises to be of help to you. How is He your help? If you need money to pay your bills, a loaf of bread is not going to be of help! But we serve a God who is very specific. And because He is always with you, He always knows exactly what you need and is always ready to provide it!

Just as his word in the book of Matthew 6:25 clearly states โ€œTherefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food? and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Today, you might be facing trouble or adversity Know that God is with you. All you need to do is seek Him for help. Trust that He has the answer, and that He is working things out in your favor. As you continue to believe Him and follow His direction, He will lead you in the way that you should go. He will comfort you, revive you, restore you and bless you! He will be always present to help you because He is forever faithful to His Word.

” Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.โ€
Joshua 1:9

Word of the Day: Letโ€™s grow up

God created us to grow from one stage of life to another. Our Spiritual walk is not as different from this because we should grow from being young tots to mature Christians. As Christians, it is vital that we are mature. In fact after we become born again and we are followers of Christ, we are not expected to stay as spiritual babies, we are challenged by the Word of God to grow and become more like Him.

Paul when writing to the church at Corinth pin pointed the fact that most of their issues were rooted in a lack of spiritual development. How then do we grow beyond being spiritual babies? We need to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is by reading and meditating on the Word of God and devoting ourselves to prayer.

To develop spiritually, we must first desire to grow so as to have a deep relationship with Christ. We also need to constantly be in prayer to communicate and engage with God plus growth enables us to be firmly rooted in the word which helps us not to be swayed easily by any type of doctrine. Finally, we grow deeper through discipleship, warmer through fellowship, stronger through worship and broader through evangelism.

“Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.โ€
Ephesians 4:13

Word of the Day: Fear No Evil

Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous.. When we let that belief take over our lives we question, we worry and we do not dare go the extra mile. When we live with fear we limit our potential to live up to what the Lord expects of us. Our chances to excel and to conquer are limited and our faith in God is minimized.

As Christians we forget the power that God has bestowed upon us. The Bible clearly states that, God has given us authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; and nothing will harm us (Luke 10:19).

So if you have that kind of power and authority, what is holding you back from pursuing what the Lord has put in your heart? What is hindering you that God cannot handle? The Lord has given you a go ahead so let fear not be the barrier between you and your destiny.

1st Samuel 17:45ย “David said to the Philistine, โ€œYou come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.โ€

Word of the Day: Molded by God

Looking at a potter at work is fascinating. He carefully mixes the clay and shapes it with care into whatever shape he wants. If he is not satisfied with what is formed, he begins again so as to get the perfect and best shape and the result is always amazing.

In the same way, God shapes us to what he desires which enables us to depend and rely on Him more. He uses circumstances to bring us to our knees and to Him. Then, by grace God continues to use lifeโ€™s twists and turns to reshape us into His character.

Has your life taken an unexpected turn? Well, be encouraged because in the hands of our Creator and Redeemer, we are Godโ€™s workmanship created in Christ Jesus. Therefore, let our prayer be that of letting God mold us into what he wants us to be and also for us to yield to the will of God because we are Godโ€™s work in progress.

Ephesians 2:10ย “For we are Godโ€™s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.โ€
