Gor is ran the board for exactly a year. He was appointed by former President Mwai Kibaki on January 16, 2013.

He had served for three years as a board member before his appointment. Semalang’o was the third chair of the fund after Hellen Tombo (2006 to 2009) and James Gitau (2010 to 2013). He is the shortest serving chair.

Sources told the Star that Semelang’o’s problems begun when he picked a fight with a senior Jubilee cabinet minister.

If you love them set them free, if they come back they are yours. Popular comedian Teacher Wanjiku will be back on the Churchill show in a month’s time after a rather rocky venture on her own. Following the dismal popularity of her show on Citizen TV, it now appears she has learnt things the hard way.

According to reports by The Star, Teacher Wanjiku is believed to have pulled the plug on the show herself, with her hubby Victor Ber playing a part in compounding her decision. The two will be trooping back to Churchill with Wanjiku reclaiming her spot and Victor being in charge of the creativity of the show.

The comedienne became a house hold name on Churchill show but disappointed many when she left the show. With Eric Omondi on tour in the US and set to also come back, fans will be delighted to have the comedy bigwigs back in the new look Churchill live show.

He is said to have written a protest letter to the minister accusing her of looking down upon him.

Semelang’o was among a group of youthful leaders who supported the re-election of Kibaki in 2007.

Besides him, others in the group included Ambassador Yvonne Khamati, Bob Kioko and Patrick Ngatia.
