President Uhuru Kenyatta visited the family of the late William Ntimama at their home in Lavington, Nairobi on Tuesday.
Uhuru was with government officials including Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery and his predecessor Joseph Lenku.
Former president Daniel Moi later visited the family accompanied by his son Gideon who is Baringo Senator.
Ntimama, who died on Thursday night, was considered the community kingpin and politicians are now searching for his successor.
Ntimama’s family said he will be buried on September 14 next to his three deceased children.
Family spokesperson Tempes Ntimama said committees in Narok, Oloropil and Nairobi that were tasked with burial arrangements were progressing well.
