Bishop Allan Kiuna and Reverend Kathy celebrating 25 years of marriage
Power couple Bishop Allan Kiuna and his wife Reverend Kathy of the Jubilee Christian Church are celebrating 25 years of marriage.
In a hearty string of social media posts in a day that came hours after Bishop Kiuna turned 53, Kathy shared that she was his birthday gift 25 years ago, and, that marriage works.
“This amazing Bishop Kiuna turns a year older today. I was his birthday gift 25 years ago. Happy birthday my love and here’s to many more amazing, healthy years ahead. You have done well and you can only do better. I’m eager to see what God has in store for you coz I only see greatness and more greatness,” she stated.
Citing her union as an example, the reverend noted that even though they faced a myriad of challenges, they withstood all the shocks and are celebrating a silver-jubilee of victory.
“A million angels could not express our gratitude. God, you have been good to us. We have laughed together, cried, buried loved ones and mourned, played, prayed, lost, won, grown, fought bears and lions and Goliath, brought up children and grandchildren. We are here to say that marriage works. What a mighty God we serve. I’m just about to win,”added Kathy.
In a message to young couples on how to survive through tough times, the Daughters of Zion founder added:
“Don’t be so uptight in life” it’s never that serious. I remember when I met my husband he was very serious and I was very playful. He taught me how to get serious sometimes and I taught him how to play sometimes. The balance is incredible. Play with your wife, your kids and even your workers,” added Kathy.
Those seeking partners were not left behind either in the inspirational message.
“Praying for every marriage that needs a turnaround & that needs a restoration that the Lord steps in and eases the bitterness and hurt that has come between.
“For every marriage struggling with financial debt, may God step in and cause you to seal deals, contracts, promotions that will lift off the burden. For the single desiring a partner, I pray God guides you to the spouse He has for you, a spouse who will love, honour, cherish and respect you. Marriage works, your marriage will work,” narrated Kathy.
In 2018, Reverend Kiuna revealed that her husband was battling cancer and opened up on their struggles with the disease and the effect it had on her.
“Chemotherapy had him at his lowest. What was most difficult for me, was having to be home preaching most of the time and not by his side physically and honestly speaking it took all of me to even stand and preach.
“Regardless of how I felt, I had to show my husband that we would get through this and show strength even when it was hard and would later go on my knees and remind God of His promises most times with tears rolling down my face,” she said.
