“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” (Genesis 1:27-28)
This is the Truth and nothing but the Truth! It was fabulously successful! Bravo!
The 6th year annual Marriage Dynamic National Forum (MDNF) conference which took place in Baltimore Maryland at St. Thomas Episcopal Church from September 2nd to 4th, 2016 was concluded yesterday with couplesโ delicious dinner. It was attended by more than 60 couples. This was a unique conference. Believe it or not, the time of dinner was a moment of joy and laughter when Bishop Justus Musyoka, one of the keynote/plenary speakers spoke about how to bring the kingdom of God in all husband and wife matters. Wow! It was amazing.
The MDNF is a nonprofit National non-denominational Christian organization which started 6 years ago to minister to couples across USA. As a matter of fact, MDNF is led and coordinated by churches pastors and leaders. The forum has no limit (the sky is the limit) of membership and every member is a leader and advocate representing the churches and community one is living in.
The conference was so unique among the past ones. Among the plenary anointed seasoned speakers were Brother Lukas Kimani, ย ย ย ย ย ย Dr. Dennis Odhiambo, Pastor Julius Isendi, Dr. Mary Njaramba, Bishop Justus Musyoka, and ย ย Dr. GG Gitahi who inspired the couples as he spoke from the songs of Solomon chapter 4. This was โcomicalโ and โdramaticallyโ presentation of a challenging message for couples to stop amidst doing the daily ordinaries to โsmell the rosesโ- enjoy intimacy of marriage.
Fundamental Issues facing every couple, and all couples need to know and be always reminded were addressed by experienced Christian leaders during workshops. These includes: ย balancing work and marriage by pr. Mwaura Mwangi; โEffective Finance Managementโ in Marriage by Dr. Solomon Waigwa; Challenges of raising Children in Diaspora by Lukas and Martha Kimani/Bishop Armstrong Cheggeh; Understanding seasons of Marriage: Aging gracefully and dealing with empty nest syndrome by Rev. Stanley and Regina Karanja/ Pr. William Bittock; Knowing your mateโs personality/Gender roles in marriage by Dr G.G and Rahab Gitahi/ Dr. Duncan and Mary Kihoro; Sex and Intimacy in marriage by Geoffrey Heme and Bishop Paul and Margret Kiilu; Enhancing Effective communication in marriage by Rev. Isaac Kariuki/ Rev. Douglas Ngatunyi, and last but not least Parenting in Digital Age in Diaspora by Rev. Wambui Njoroge.
Among the states represented are Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Georgia, Ohio, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. What about you next year? Remember this โSo Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.โ (Ephesians 4:11-13).
The minimum requirement to attend the Conference is “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female created them.โ Why not prepare for 2017? To those who are far and near, it will be back at Baltimore Maryland 1st -3rd September 2017. ย Itโs more than its worth.ย DONโT MISS IT!
