On 31st January 2019 H.E Mike Mbuvi Sonko, Governor Nairobi City County paid a courtesy call on the High Commissioner H.E. Manoah Esipisu where they explored possible areas of collaboration including finding investors for infrastructure and other social projects in Nairobi County.
The Governor is in London to participate in the AIDS-Free global conference where he has been able to secure donor funding amounting to Sh500m to help in the fight against HIV and AIDS. The funds from the Elton John Foundation will provide HIV self-testing kits to help fight the scourge. During the global forum, Nairobi City County Government joined two other cities, London and Atlanta, to sign a commitment to accelerate the Paris declaration aimed at stopping new HIV and AIDS infections by 2030.
