Kenya Airport employee jumps to death from control tower
An employee of the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) on Friday afternoon jumped from the control tower at the Moi International Airport, Mombasa, in a suspected suicide case.
The man died on the spot and his body was taken to the Aga Khan Hospital mortuary.โ
According to a statement by KCAA to newsrooms, the deceased was an Aerodrome Controller and his family was promptly informed of the unfortunate incident.
Police officers are also investigating the circumstances surrounding the matter and staff on duty will undergo counselling sessions to cope with the loss.
โThe Board and Management stands with all the Air Traffic Control Officers during this time, having lost a valuable member of the team.
