It is a little over one year since Citizen TV highlighted the story of the Maasai Cricket Warriors, an exhibition team based in Il Polei, Nanyuki. Since then the team’s stature has grown, as they represented the country in a South African tournament, and also caught the eye of a British film director who is currently shooting a documentary on them. Their story also bagged the sports story of the year award at the prestigious 2012 CNN Multi-choice Awards.
